Now Is The Time For Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity

Too often, families visiting out-of-state relatives or business professionals traveling for work get caught up in unknowingly criminal situations due to convoluted concealed carry permit laws. This makes it nearly impossible for them to move between states while retaining confidence in their ability to defend themselves or loved ones.

The right to keep your firearm on hand shouldn’t stop at just your home or property. Your right to defend yourself and your family shouldn’t disappear because of geography – it should be honored wherever you go.

Specifically, an individual who is able to carry a concealed firearm in one state should be able to carry or possess a concealed handgun in another state that allows its residents to carry concealed firearms.

Passing the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act is a common sense solution that would be putting individual and family protections first.

Protecting Those Who Are Their Family’s First Line of Defense

Reducing Crime With More Responsible Protectors

According to data from the Crime Prevention Research Center, the total number of concealed carry permit holders stands at 21.46 million as of 2024. A Rasmussen poll from this past June found that a 68-to-22 percent margin of Americans “feel safer in a neighborhood where guns are allowed. NOW is the time for national concealed carry reciprocity.

Prioritizing Constitutional Rights While Protecting States’ Rights

Americans’ Constitutional and natural born right to protect does not disappear when they cross state lines. The current patchwork of state and local laws can confuse even the most conscientious CCW holder and puts them at risk of breaking the law.
